The Friday kick-off gathering will take place in Lynnwood, just north of Seattle and a 10-minute drive from the hotel (see info at right). We will communicate all locations, addresses and meet-up times via e-mail before the actual event.  

The Saturday portion of the event will be taking place at the UW Center for Urban Horticulture (pinned on the map below), 12 miles south of the hotel.   


Because of our Friday evening gathering in Lynnwood, we have chosen a hotel just north of Seattle. For those who attended the very first MICROCOSM, this is the hotel where it all started: Embassy Suites Seattle North/Lynnwood (20610 44th Ave W, Lynnwood, WA).

We were able to get a special event rate for attendees:

  • King: $139/night
  • Double Queen: $149/night

Rates and rooms are offered based on availability, and can be used 2 days before and 2 days after Sept. 1-2, 2017. 

Reservations should be made by calling 425.775.2500 and asking for Reservations. Ask to book rooms for the MICROCOSM group. The cut-off for accepting reservations based on the above rates is Friday, Aug. 18, 2017. Reservation requests received after 5pm local time on the day of cut-off will be accepted at the hotel's prevailing rate.

Event rate includes complimentary hot buffet breakfast each morning, and complimentary 2-hr cocktail reception each evening.
